Hi guys after repairing my drivers door wires twice in 2 years due to them groovy/breaking i have finally decided to endeavor a more permanent fix.
After searching the web for a consummate door loom i found used good status ones are rarer than rocking horse poo and new ones far too expensive and then i decided to find a repair kit.
Even repair kits are quite expensive for what they are and start from about £fifty . Subsequently much searching i take found 1 on ebay .
could anyone confirm this will be the right 1 for my machine it says it fits all doors. cheers.

I suspect y'all're non creating slack in the loom when repairing, all-time to pull most an inch more loom towards the hinge kick, so repair, solder, oestrus shrink, never failed for repairs I've washed.

Hello mate plenty of slack in the cable .It's but that the cables are that brittle they are cracking once more either side of the repair and 2 others that where fine last time i looked had snapped inside the kick . And so basically about every wire has had a repair and the loom is almost twice the thickness it used to be. So must be straining every time the door is open and closed .
Recollect i will just bite the bullet and order that kit and sort it once and for all.
Cheers for your input.

thank you

I had this exact same problem about 3 years ago. I just put a couple of wago's on information technology for a temporary fix, but so far and then good and so I guess I've just been lucky! I did add near ii inches of extra wire though. Wiring on these cars seems to exist very brittle. I've just recently replaced my coolant temp sensor wire every bit information technology had a break in information technology. Be interested to know if this is the office equally I may need information technology in the very nigh future.

How-do-you-do guys.
Afterward weeks of non getting a minute to myself i finally got effectually to fixing my drivers door loom yesterday.
The kit i ordered from Rocketwires is spot on .:thumbs up:. Using the former connecter as a reference it was a piece of cake to figure out which pins and colours went where.
I highly recommend this repair kit information technology has plenty length on the wires to cutting the former loom well past the damaged wires and the wires are a lot more flexible than the sometime stiff and brittle ones.
I decided not to utilize the crimp connectors supplied and instead used some solder shrink connections i got from ebay for a few quid.
If you have a heat gun handy i think these brand a far ameliorate articulation as the solder floods inside and the compress tube seals out any moisture.
thank you
